LEARN HOW TO PLAY THE PIANO/GUITAR/VOICE/DRUMS
We offer lessons for all ages in piano, guitar, and voice too. Our instructors have one or more university/college degrees and have taught in public and private schools and performed professionally. There is no better way to start playing and performing music your heart desires than with "Brooks Peoples Academy and Arts. Lessons are scheduled for 35 minutes of instruction with take home assignments for practice.

You'll receive one on one attention that will really speed your skills toward meeting your goal. Students who take private lessons often improve more rapidly and develop confidence more quickly with intensive, individual instruction. Move from a beginner to full mastery of your chosen instrument. These lessons are geared toward your individual needs.
Tuition is not prorated to reflect missed lessons. A missed lesson is considered a forfeited lesson without contact to the school. Upon enrollment, your child's class space and lesson time are reserved whether he/she is present or not. If the teacher missed the lesson it will be rescheduled or credited.
Learn to play guitar! It's fun! It's easy! Don't miss out!
First week: students learn the basics of guitar, maintenance, keeping time and rhythms, chard charts and more. Students will be able to play 3-4 songs.
Second week: chord progressions and major scales are taught. Students will learn many styles such as blues, rock and jazz. Students will understand all types of written guitar music.
For students who think they may be interested in studying the guitar, this class is the perfect introduction! Acoustic guitar lessons provide the best foundation for all types of guitar music. The Brooks Peoples Academy & Arts provides each student with the use of an acoustic guitar for the week. Under the direction of a teacher, children have the best instruction possible, studying with their own age group. Interested students or adults are encouraged to sign up for more lessons after it is over!

Keyboard (2nd Grade and up at the Beginner Level)
All piano instruction is one on one. All students will learn the language of music, develop performance skills and grow in the appreciation of music through participation. Students must have, at their disposal, either an acoustic piano or a minimum 61 key keyboard
Young people of all ages love this! This class takes place in the gallery of Brooks Peoples Academy & Arts on an electronic keyboard and receive instruction. Students will create and explore music using keyboards and music technology. Activities will include learning chords and following chord charts, ensemble playing and improvisation. This is a flexible approach designed to challenge students of different ages. (Inquire about our reputable year-round piano program.)
Voice Classes (ALL AGES)
Brooks the voice instructor teaches many voice techniques on how to breathe when singing, how to get over your fear of singing and singing with confidence. If you are looking to strengthen your voice, come in and sign up with "Brooks"
Musical Theater-Dance (all ages) Summer Only
Students will be introduced to a conservatory-style dance that is a mix of jazz, hip-hop and arm movement ballet with a theatre performance emphasis. Do not be fooled - BOYS love this class! Also included is an introduction to creative dramatics, stage production, and vocal work. (voice lessons)
