Bass Guitar Lessons
We have great teachers who have training in jazz, rock, blues, classical and R & B Soul. Beginner student can expect to work on chords, simple songs, sight reading and finger memory. We make sure through each lesson you are challenged with new techniques and concepts added with fun riffs and music. We use a variety of guitar books to accomplish skills and computer strategies with lessons.

Our guitar teachers understand that every student is an individual, with personal musical needs and goals. We make it a priority to tailor how we teach and what we teach to your need. Students will start off with finger positioning, rhythm, and learning your favorite song.
Enjoy Learning to Play Guitar
Come by and get a FREE lesson, we will have you playing in a short time. Schedule your time after school and work until 7:30 p.m. at night. Summer hours are 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. Weekly time in the fall starts 4:00 p.m. We are located in the Garland area jamming on the guitar and playing live music with your very own acoustic guitar.
All classes will start every 30 minutes of the day and allow students the opportunity to learn the basic warm-up techniques, finger-strengthening exercises, tuning and hand positions, posture, basic note-reading and how to play songs step by step.
Interest in learning piano - At the Academy or Online
- Students will become familiar with the piano and keyboard through number exercises along with some written theory practice. The very first day you will learn the keys and began reading music. By the time you leave you will know how to play a song and comfortable reading music. As a beginner, you will learn simple rhythms and melodies with practiced home-worked assigned and online piano lessons. We also offer adult classes with little or no previous piano experience to those who long to learn how to play his or her favorite music.
- From the starting age of 4-years old, we explore music in a simple way in finding what interest you, the student. When you are learning to play piano, you not only learn how to read music, rhythm, and fundamental piano techniques, but also learn how to perform and play your favorite song in our beautiful event room.
- Throughout the year, we offer a variety of performance opportunities such as the "Christmas Recital", "Community in the Park", "Summer Concert", to show off to your friends and families.

Interested in playing the Drums at the Academy
Have you always wanted to be a drummer? Learn drums at Brooks Peoples Academy and Arts, were we offers one of the best percussion lesson in the city of Garland, Dallas, and Rowlett,Texas. Students will start beginner drum lessons, and understand how to hold the sticks, rhythm, patterns and counting measures. All drummers are encouraged to bring their favorite drum parts and music to learn in their drum classes.

Take a journey of a complete vocal discovery here at Brooks Peoples Academy and Arts. We offer virtual on the computer and private lessons each week 30 or 45 minutes. If you are a beginner, we will start the foundation of breathing, phrasing, posture and dynamics. Teach you how to show confidence in all areas of voice control, performance and recitals. We also work on voice range, tone, and timbre for pop, to all genre style of music. Serving Garland, Dallas, and Rowlett Texas.
All lessons have a 24 - hour cancellation policy. There are absolutely no exceptions to this rule. We have a cancellation fee of the full lesson for every class canceled under the 24 - hr time period. Each student is responsible for making sure someone contact Brooks Peoples Academy and Arts.
